Mr. Robot's Fuck Society

Tech-related TV series that seems interesting, Mr. Robot. It's not new, but I recently know it. Here's quote from its pilot episode:

What is it about society that disappoints you so much?

Oh, I don't know. Is it that, we collectively thought that, Steve Jobs was a great man? Even when we knew he made billions off the backs of children. Or maybe it's that it feels like all our heroes are counterfeit. The world itself is just one big hoax. Spamming each other with our commentary bullshit masquerading as insight. Our social media faking us into intimacy, or is that we voted for this? Not with our rigged elections, but with our things, our property, our money. I'm not saying anything new, we all know why we do this. Not because Hunger games books makes us happy, but because we want to be sedated. Because it's painful not to pretend, because we're cowards. Fuck Society.

I don't wanna be a part of your parade

It's about 16 Personalities, which accurately categorized me into INTJ type of personality, my resignation at current office, my experiences so far and mix between all of them.

"INTJs have exceptionally high standards, and if they view a colleague or supervisor as incompetent or ineffective, respect will be lost instantly and permanently."

"...In this way, emotions are not INTJs' way of addressing a decision, but rather an indication that a decision needs to be addressed. INTJ personalities' Thinking (T) trait acts as a protective big brother to their Feeling (F) trait - seeing that something has upset the less able sibling, it steps in to take action, letting logic do the talking and resolving the condition rather than complaining about its consequences."

I would like to say, thank you all for gave me a great lesson. Now I know.

P.S: I usually never do and believe this personality test kind of thing, but damn, y'all should try 16 Personalities test. It's like reading your own mind.

P.P.S: Down below is a song that I attached in my resignation letter. This post title is one of the line in this song's lyric.

Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

A Conversation.

The Heart: “Knock, knock..”
Me: “Who’s there?”
The Heart: “It’s me!”
Me: “Dude, please, I’m not in the mood on talking right now.”
The Heart: “I know, it’s been a while since you stop talking to me, now you want to stop talking again?”
Me: “What do you expect? Since you knock knock me just now, is there anything you want to propose? or else, shut the fuck up and let me alone for a while.”
The Heart: “You’re a bad liar.”
Me: “I know. Okay, you’ve got me. What do you want to know?”
The Heart: “Are you still willing to talk to me?”
Me: “Of course. Now can I ask you a question?”
The Heart: “Sure.”
Me: “Are you still willing to talk to me?”
The Heart: “I’m not sure.”
Me: “Hell?”
The Heart: “Joking. Of course I’m willing to talk to you.”
Me: “Ok, since you knock knock me, let me clear this one thing out to you.”
The Heart: “I’m all ears.”
Me: “For now on, for all the things I’m going to do, I will ask you first, before The Brain, and you will answer me.”
The Heart: “Easy. That’s it?”
Me: “No. There’s one more thing. Go work things out with The Brain.”
The Heart: “Consider it done. But I also have something to tell you, if you care…”
Me: “Spit it out, man. I’m all care as Kids’ Day Care”
The Heart: “Ignoring The Brain is not a sin. If I tell you to, you must believe me.”
Me: “Ok, I will believe you from now on.”
The Heart: “Hand Shake?”
Me: “Hand Shake.”
The Heart: “Fist bump?”
Me: “No, don’t fist bump me.”
The Heart: “Man..”
Me: “Joking. Go on fist bump me”
The Heart: “Fist bump. Wait, put a Weezer's 'Why Bother?' up for me please and play it through the end of Pinkerton, stressing point on 'Falling For You'
Me: “Yeah, why not.”

10 Reasons Why I Love Halt And Catch Fire

1. I always interested about technology. This show's set up in the era when computer technology start to become more interesting. Around 1984 I must say, the coolest year ever in human history. George Orwell even make a novel titled 1984, then later Apple adapted it for Macintosh launching ad in 1984.

2. Fiction and nonfiction perfectly blended.

3. Donna. Smart and pretty. I really like that combination.

4. Cameron Howe. For the love of God, who doesn't like a girl like Cameron? Cute, geek, rebel, visionary, listening to punk music with that oldies Walkman. Perfection!

5. Cameron's music. Bad Brains, The Clash, Sonic Youth, Buzzcocks, Public Image Ltd., Blondie, The Vandals, Minor Threat, Siouxsie and The Banshees, Big Boys, and the list goes on. She's a total rad!

6. Cameron's attitude, which somehow imitate J-Law's attitude, which I'm totally okay with it.

7. Cameron.

8. Cameron.

9. Cameron.

10. Cameron.

Have no idea what Halt And Catch Fire is? Get a life! Go to Google! :) And I also have this link to Cameron Howe's playlist on Spotify :)

Revolusi Mental Di Mata Saya

My Music Consuming Culture

I love ThePirateBay. I respect the one who made torrent's file sharing and all the people who in the culture. I do regularly download music from file sharing. Especially the band that I never heard before or the musicians and bands that I'm interested in but still can't decided if I like them or not.

I do have an iTunes account. I never hesitate buying music from iTunes. Especially the musicians or bands that I know and need to be appreciated. Or at least I heard it, even though I don't know them, but if the music is so good, I'd buy it.

I have my favorite local music distro, where I always buy music or band's merchandise from them. I never hesitate to buy something from the band, only if they're good enough to be appreciated.

I never think twice to buy the ticket if some bands I like having a show or concert. I have unlimited budget for music concert.

The least thing I do to appreciate is, I write a blog post about the music that catch my ear on my reemix tumblog.

I rarely buy a CD. Why? Because this is 2014 and CD is considered useless as distribution media, especially after I buy it and transfer it to my iPod. Don't talk about the great feeling to hold the CD, looking and touching album's artwork while listening to the music, and all those romanticism bullcrap. Unless you make special packaging CD, that's different case. But even a special packaging CD really rare making me want to buy it. A regular CD with cheap plastic case? Errrrrghh.

Incase you didn't notice, now people listen to your music while browsing on your band's website, your wikipedia's page, your album review on some greatest blogs on the interwebz. That's people in 2014 usually do.

Moral of the story, for you new musicians and bands, don't be such a fucking crybaby if someone got your music from file sharing. Prove me that you're worth to be appreciated. Give one or two free music. Make a good music video. Make a good merchandise. Make a good concert. Make me look and hear you. Make a good music. If it's good, I'd buy anything from you. Anything. At any price.

Keren Tapi Gue Gak Ngerti

What’s this all about? I know it, I experience it, it’s around me, it’s close to me. But I struggle to understand it.

What’s this all about?

I keep hearing all the people in that video saying words like Engagement. Participating. Conversation. Story. Storytelling. Connect. Instantly. Response. Relevant. Real-Time. Cultural. Experience. Reaction. Listening.

What’s happened?

I watched the video twice. Yes, twice back and forth. At 3 AM. Anxiously trying to grasp it. I felt stupid by it.

Cracking something that you know it’s cool, it’s at your end sight, but you barely understand it, makes me remember the line that I heard few months back.

“Keren, tapi gue gak ngerti.”

*I watched the short video of this Twitter's #live thingy from Cannes session last week, that made me anxious. This long video made me even more anxious.
